BEGO MARTÍN X PUEBLO MÁGICO 

Our latest collaboration for the "Pueblo Mágico" collection brings us together with our friend and artist Bego Martín, who contributes her own unique creative universe—filled with skulls, flowers, "alebrijes", hearts, "catrinas", and Mexican magic.
Bego was born in Florida (United States), where she earned a dual degree in Journalism and Audiovisual Communication. As an illustrator and creator, she balances her artistic world with a career as a model—working both nationally and internationally—as well as performing as a DJ and collaborating with the Parisian luxury brand Zadig & Voltaire.

Jewelry that tells a story

This collection stems from my world as an illustrator and my fascination with objects that seem to have a story behind them. My drawings always emerge from intangible things—an idea, a feeling, a journey, a conversation… It has been truly wonderful to be able to bring all that inspiration and imagery to life in the form of something you can touch.

The power of symbols

I have always been very fond of antique pieces, amulets, and objects with symbolic meaning. For this collection, I wanted to blend all these elements with references to Mexican folklore, traditional folk crafts, religious iconography, and the natural world. There are animals, insects, frogs, skulls, anatomical hearts, colored stones, and shapes that seem to have been plucked from a fantasy world.

The magic of yore

There is also a strong inspiration drawn from vintage jewelry—from the way such pieces are worn, as if they were little treasures collected over time. I wanted to recapture that sense of jewelry as an object—a piece that might have been discovered in an antique shop, at a flea market, or tucked away in someone’s personal treasure drawer.
